I checked Goodreads to see if my Edith Wharton-loving best friend had read Summer (she has) and the first review says that it's supposed to be Edith Wharton's "most erotic book" so ... interesting.
I also am a yearly subscriber and my subscription renews in July. Substack makes it so hard to find that info - it's not obvious at all.
Ok good to know about the yearly renewal! And yes, Wharton called SUMMER "Hot Ethan [Frome]" unclear whether she meant the setting or the sensuality! We'll find out 🙂
I’m excited for the read along! Also postpartum and the shorter reads are going to be perfect summer goal.
This sounds like fun for the summer!

So excited for the classic readalongs!
Seconded on this!
This is exciting! and I'm delighted with the first three read-along selections - all new-to-me reads AND they're short.
