I LOVED this post! This was just such a brilliant way to whittle down a seemingly endless TBR list (and let’s be real, it is actually endless) that can feel so overwhelming it can even be demoralizing. The desire for orderliness is so strong for me that this post sang to me. I loved everything about it!
This was so helpful!!!! I go through phases where I’m 100% library and then all of a sudden I’ll “need” to order several books I think I can’t live without lol Then I’ll remember I live in an apt with limited space and I can’t buy everything due to space and cost! I like to make sure I support an indie when I travel so really like to save my book buying for that. Recently visited Tattered Cover in Denver where I purchased a few books. I got home and immediately went on little spending spree with my own local indie, Skylight Books. Reading this made me realize I need to slow down.... the way I like to... and be selective about what I buy!! I LOVE my library so I’m totally fine using both methods. Thanks for reminding me to take a beat and be aware of my choices!
I go through spending seasons too! It's always good to acknowledge where you're at and where you want to be...so the books don't topple over you or your budget!
thank you for sharing your process ... and the results! It's really helpful to see how another "serious" reader tackles the abundance this time of year. I'm glad the books are spread out across the next several months - it's fun to have titles to anticipate (and pay for) later.

Thank you! This was one of those "will anyone actually want to read about this?" Posts for me, so this is so nice to hear!
