The February Romance Collection
Readers, I’ve been sitting on some stellar romance reviews, and I can’t wait to share them with you in a special collection of recommendations. You don’t need to wait for summer to read the most swoon worthy love stories—I gathered up my most anticipated January, February, and March releases, went on a requesting spree on NetGalley, and previewed a slew of beautifully-written romance novels. Now, I’m finishing a few more titles and putting together a printable list with reviews, spice ratings, and content notes so you can decide which romance novels suit your winter reading mood.
I’ve been reading with three main things in mind:
I need my romance novels to be unputdownable. I want to think about the characters when I’m away from my book and to eagerly anticipate getting back into the story.
I want well-written, well-structured, well-edited romance novels. I’ve read enough to know what this looks like, and I’m pretty picky about my favorites!
I like to be surprised! An element of genre mash-ups, unexpected settings, or complicated thematic explorations will always send a romance novel to the YES list (provided it meets the above two requirements, as well).
The February Romance Collection will be available for paid subscribers to The Eclectic Reader on Wednesday, February 14th, which brings me to my second announcement:
Winter Subscription Sale
For a limited time, you can get an annual subscription to The Eclectic Reader for 30% off. That’s just $35 for a full year of paid subscriber-only personal essays, specially curated book lists, and projects like The February Romance Collection. This offer expires January 31, 2024.
I can’t wait to share my collection with you soon—and I’m so grateful for your support! I couldn’t spend time reading, creating, and dreaming up these projects without it. Before you go, I do have a few questions as I prepare for my Summer Romance list (it might seem early, but my NetGalley downloads say otherwise!).
Thank you so much!
Just subscribed with the discount! Looking forward to a romance filled February.
