I read Sandwich and loved it. I am 66 with an 89 year old mother(still living independently but quite dependent on me in many ways), three married children in their 30s and 3 grandchildren(soon 4). I love them all deeply and am I am both truly blessed and truly sandwiched. I speak with my mother more than once a day (I'm her emotional support)...do errands for her, coach her through computer troubles and life decisions...my kids well I am quite involved in their lives...almost always willing to help. Plus I pick up each of my two households of grandchildren one day a week and spend the afternoon/early evening with them. I enjoyed Rocky's perspective ....I am less frazzled but always tired. Her physical descriptions of love for her children and spouse rang true for me. I want life to be easy and happy for everyone but so much of it is out of my control.

Well I haven’t read Sandwich but I loved Tom Lake and You Could Make This Place Beautiful so I guess I should read Sandwich 🤩
I've read most of these, and have been on the fence about Sandwich, but I did add The Summer Book to my TBR. Thanks!
Loved SANDWICH; I'm glad for these recs!
