Given my deep affection for the romance genre, you might suspect I’m devouring all the holiday love stories I can get my hands on. You would be wrong. It’s not that I hate (or even dislike) holiday romance novels—it’s just that I don’t love them. I read one or two each year and quickly burn out on the subgenre. I can’t even cite specific reasons why they don’t work for me; I’m just not that into holiday romance novels.
I do, however, enjoy a holiday romance novella, or the occasional holiday romance anthology (a collection of short stories or novellas from multiple authors). These short, sweet, and sometimes sexy reads give me everything I need in a cozy, festive romance—in bite sized form.
For your December printable, I’ve collected a fun mix of romance novellas and anthologies to celebrate upcoming holidays and the winter season. You can read a romance novella in the span of one or two hours, get your dose of holiday swooning, and go back to your baking, decorating, partying, or hibernating. I hope you find a quick read that sparks joy on this list.
