Three classic novels I wish everyone on Substack would read.
You know I have had an Ann Petry novel sitting in my book drawer for almost a year now. I've always meant to get to it.
I have yet to read Custom of the Country...missed it when Novel Pairings existed. Maybe you will host a reas along 🤔
I like these! I haven't read Jubilee but it's also on my tbr. I would also love to see The Parisian get adaped but we are not in a political reality where that could happen. PS very much enjoying the anchor texts narrows archives
Abd obviously the Parisian is not an old classic. I've noticed there aren't many Black authored chunky texts from the 17 18th 19th centuries
